Evaluation
Female Fertility Testing
Medical tests to evaluate ovarian reserve, reproductive anatomy, and hormonal testing and reproductive anatomy.
Male Fertility Testing
The initial evaluation for male fertility includes an overview of medical history, a physical examination, a complete semen analysis, hormone panels, and sperm function tests, if necessary. Our team will also take into account the patient's lifestyle and genetic profile.
Genetic Testing / Counseling
PGT can be performed during IVF procedures to test embryos for genetic disorders or chromosomal abnormalities before being transferred into the uterus.
Conception
IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)
IUI can be an effective treatment for both female and male fertility factors, and involves placing sperm directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation.
IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)
In IVF, pregnancy is achieved by combining retrieved eggs and sperm in our laboratory to create embryos, which are then transferred into the uterus for implantation.
Genetic Testing / Counseling
PGT can be performed during IVF procedures to test embryos for genetic disorders or chromosomal abnormalities before being transferred into the uterus.
Egg Donor Conception
An egg donor will donate eggs to enable another woman to become pregnant. The egg recipient may be the female patient or a gestational surrogate.
Sperm Donor Conception
Donor insemination allows clean and concentrated sperm, from a clinic-recruited donor, into the uterus around the time of ovulation, potentially resulting in pregnancy.
Gestational Surrogacy
Gestational surrogacy is a process in which an individual, who did not provide the egg used in conception, carries the pregnancy and gives birth to a baby for another person or couple.
Male Fertility
The initial evaluation for male fertility includes an overview of medical history, a physical examination, a complete semen analysis, hormone panels, and sperm function tests, if necessary. Our team will also take into account the patient's lifestyle and genetic profile.
Single Parenting
Families come in all shapes and sizes, and if parenting a child is what you want to do, we will help make it happen.
Fertility Surgery
In some cases, reproductive surgical procedures, such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, or myomectomy, can be used to address issues like polyps, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids, helping improve your chances of pregnancy success.
Preservation
Embryo Freezing
Eggs are combined with sperm in the laboratory to create embryos, which are then cryopreserved for future use.
Egg Freezing
Preserving your eggs now allows you to take control of your options later.
Sperm Banking
Sperm banking is a form of fertility preservation for men that involves freezing sperm and storing it for future intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles. There are many reasons why men consider sperm banking, including oncofertility (preserving sperm prior to cancer treatment), preserving fertility before a vasectomy, and having a backup semen sample to be used for a fertility treatment procedure, if needed. Sperm can be safely frozen and stored for a significant amount of time.
Oncofertility & Medical Fertility Preservation
Oncofertility is an option for patients to preserve eggs, sperm, and/or embryos prior to cancer treatment (chemotherapy and radiation), which can negatively impact fertility.
LGBTQIA+
Lesbian Family-Building
The two primary treatment options for lesbian partners with two egg providers are intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF), including reciprocal IVF. Many of our patients also utilize genetic testing to increase their chances of success.
Gay Family-Building
Gay men or couples with two sperm providers wanting to build their biological family will need the help of an egg donor, gestational surrogate, and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Many of our patients also utilize genetic testing to increase their chances of success.
Family-Building for Trans Couples
Trans and gender diverse individuals and couples have a variety of options for fertility care depending on their unique situation. The most commonly used options include fertility preservation, IUI, IVF, donor egg, donor sperm, and surrogacy. Many of our patients also utilize genetic testing to increase their chances of success.
LGBTQ+ Fertility Preservation
There are plenty of reasons you may not want to start a family right now. Whether you would like to preserve your fertility before hormone treatment and other life changing procedures, or may now just simply isn’t the right time, RMA of New York’s reproductive physicians and specialists have worked with countless LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples to preserve fertility until they are ready to build their biological family.
